By creating a council for "gender policy" rather than a council for "women," Biden seemed to be heeding the warning embodied in Betty Friedan's The Second Stage: The liberation of women will plateau if attention to men's issues does not follow.

It's interesting to see that they would care about men's issues ONLY because it would affect women's liberation.

I read through Biden's executive order, didn't find anything specifically mentioning women, in fact the word "women" was not mentioned once in the EO. So far it's just media portraying it as a solely women's effort. We'll have to see what happens.
