All the bias you need right here. They find a phenomenon (boys become more stoic as they get older), and decide why (to not appear feminine).

They do t study why. They don't care why.

You know what would help them feel safe about doing that? Dealing with all of the fake allegations they face.

The article (6 years old by the way) reported some important findings about boys pre-school emotional experience and capacity, and debunked the myth that boys are less emotionally endowed or less able to negotiate their emotional landscapes (endogenous and exogenous) compared to girls. But after that, the article reverts to imposing feminist ideological stereotypes of toxic masculinity onto boys, and blaming traditionl masculinity.

The part of the study that was not explained without bias was this. What are these forces that cause boys to disengage from emotional relationships and experiences from school age and after, and where are they coming from?

One enterprising feminist pushes her own ideological agenda (and her book) in the comments to this article, suggesting that boys are socialised from an early age to be violent misogynists. The cause of this socialisation is (surprise surprise) traditional masculinity, the patriarchy. The overarching message of this sexist pig is that when women control the world (and men), this will all disappear and boys will magically become ..... "better". I think "better" means more easily controlled, more centered around the needs and benefits of women?

Completely missing from the article (and the book), was any acknowledgement that the beginning of emotional disengagement observed in young boys is contemporaneous with their exposure to modern educators, an almost entirely female population. This is a cohort of female educators with a strong component of feminist based gender theory in their college education, who have been exposed to the feminist stereotyped masculine strawman of entirely negative attributes (the SCUM manifesto man), without any couterpoised ideological framing of positive masculinity.

The idea that this cohort of female educators may be incapable of emotional engagement with boys, and may be the source of the "traditional masculinity" stereotyping, is neither considered or explored. Afterall, being constantly framed as the problem, the aggressor, the oppressor, the perpetrator, has no affect on growing boys (/s).

In the alternative, negative traditional masculinity indoctrination is assumed to occur spontaneously as a result of watching movies (kids don't watch movies anymore) or exposure to violent misogynist fathers and male role models (wtf? a huge proportion of boys grow up in fatherless homes and go to pre-schools with few or no male teachers).

This article is an example of why feminism can never be the solution to problems experienced by men and boys. Feminism is entirely blind to the nature of men and boys, and can only frame masculinity through the lens of patriarchy theory and the oppression of women.

I seriously don't understand why you even have to debunk these "myths." I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one to have really good friends throughout my life...in school,home,etc. I've seen many male friendships flourish all across the world! Infact everyone knows women are the ones having a hard time making proper friends usually.. I studied in an all boys school so idk much about girls after the age of 12 when I shifted my house....but I did see females posting statuses describing how male friendship is awesome and girls are snakes!
