Thousands of dads are left in shock as DIY paternity tests soar. Up to 30,000 tests are being performed every year, says Alphabiolabs. In the UK about 750,000 babies are born every year. Feminists want the test to be illegal without the written consent of the mother.

Lol i read the article and well the oversupply is only because they dont date down sooooo whose fault is it? Of course men for not being good enough/s

And covid reenforce it? Hard time make them look for a provider. Shoooocking

And here it is:

This situation has parallels in history. In Britain, the Great War robbed two million women of the men they would have married, causing huge social change.

Men die in war, women most affected. The women were robbed of the men they were owed. Not, "it was a national tragedy where many men lost their lives and, subsequently, women were unable to find a man to live with."

And they call men entitled?

"Only women and children are loved unconditionally. Men are only loved on the condition they provide something."
Those things tend to be but not limited to: Money. Shelter - a good home and usually better than people they know. Material things.

[–]dukunt 5 points6 points7 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

If a man is making decent money then he is a good provider. If a woman is making good money she still wants a provider. Men are expected to be self-sufficient, women want to be self-sufficient, but they want a rich man because "why spend mine when I can spend yours.."

And when yours is all gone, so are you..

[–]NoMoreMisterMaybe 5 points6 points7 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

First they claimed women were affected harder. Now they claim it'll be more difficult for successful women to find a suitable partner than before. Uh, if it affects women harder, then the relative pool of man per woman will increase, not decrease.

This entire article is a fucking mess, but that's about what I expect from the field of psychology unfortunately (for the good ones).

These women are welcome to make their pitch, and I will evaluate each of them on the merits of what they bring to the table. High quality candidates will be evaluated several times.

"If a man wants casual sex, a woman may feel huge pressure to go along with it"

Millennial women are more sexually active than men, and a higher number of men are not sexually active compared to women. The statement is based on false stereotypes, including men 'pressuring' women into sex.

[–]Mariposa_Flor 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I mean... it makes sense. It’s not really a turn on to say “Yeah, I’m unemployed and just sit around all day.” However, we have record numbers of unemployment rn and there’s more women in college than men.

I’m a college student working a seasonal job and two side gigs. I’m not looking for anything serious rn (tiger parents tell me I’m allowed to date when I get into med school, otherwise they’re a “distraction”) but I’d rather date a guy who’s doing good in school/has direction in life and charismatic than a guy who’s unemployed, uncertain, and salty.

More accurate headline: Women are so unrealistically demanding they fail to find a partner and bitterly blame men for it.

less "economically eligible males"

This is just proof that women are status-oriented, aka hypergamy. It it so implicit in the article that the author do not even realize it.

[–]Mariposa_Flor -4 points-3 points-2 points 5 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

Hey, if I have a paying job but he’s unemployed and broke, there’s not much he’s offering to a relationship. He can’t split the bill, I’d be buying his food, I’m not his mama. I pay for mine, he pays for his thats whats fair.

[–]antifeminist3 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago* (7 children) | Copy Link

Interesting how you conflate not rich with broke. So this means women think that not rich is equivalent to broke and use that to hide their hypergamous status-orientation. You didn't seem to realize this when you responded this way.

Men make similar amounts of money as women (feminists still describe a wage gap, which mainly applies to older generations who won't be marrying for the most part). So partners are on average fairly equal economically. The fact that this is not good enough for modern women shows their status-oriented thinking. You dishonestly conflate 'not eligible' with broke. Dishonest and blaming men for women's unreasonable expectations. And so I can tell that you are a woman.

[–]Mariposa_Flor -2 points-1 points0 points 5 years ago* (6 children) | Copy Link

I didn’t say that. I’m not rich, but I work a job and two side gigs. My ex was unemployed and uninterested in getting a job. Going out was agitating because he was always broke when he was perfectly capable of working. There was a lot more wrong with him but he was always self conscious about me making more money than him in the future because of what we are in school for. I didn’t care because as long as he could pay for his own shit, I don’t mind. Nobody needs a man to buy them shit.

At* the same time, I could see a female doctor not being interested at the guy that works at the gas station. The same for a male who’s a prominent lawyer not being interested at the woman who folds display clothes at Target.

[–]antifeminist3 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

So you admit it, women are status oriented. Men have always been willing to support a wife, and this is a financial entitlement that women have from men, it's not 'dependency' which frames it as a negative and therefore takes for granted this entitlement by assigning it no value and not recognizing it. So women are not progressive.

[–]Mariposa_Flor -2 points-1 points0 points 5 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Well I wouldn’t expect some lawyer to have any interest in me. I’m 18 in college for nursing.

What would I add to a relationship with him? You could find a few million girls my age with similar build and personality. It would make more sense for him to find someone specific in his social circle.

What guy wants to spend all his money on someone who does jack shit? Why would you spend your money on someone else anyways?

[–]antifeminist3 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I wouldn’t expect some lawyer to have any interest in me

Men do not think this way. It doesn't matter that you are 18 in college. Men are interested in you, not your money nor your status. That's the difference I have been indicated. You falsely assume women think like men.

[–]Mariposa_Flor 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Probably. I can understand being horny for someone but what on earth would I have to add to his life? I’d expect him to marry someone else in a legal career, not be set on marrying any female that crosses his path. He should have standards

[–]antifeminist3 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link

You are thinking like a woman, and about status, and assume men think the same. Men don't care. Maybe a tiny percentage do, but negligible.

"would I have to add to his life?"

You think that money and status are what contributes to a relationship, and you never contemplate anything else, and not the person/personality/values/personality compatibility (ok, a bit of good-lookingness is important to men but not the most important). I think this demonstrates what is wrong with women and modern relationships.

Virtually every guy would prefer a broke reasonable looking women with nice, personable personality, especially if she is easy going, over a richer women who lacks these attributes but has a career. This is what a relationship IS. I'm still amazed that women fail to realize this.

[–]Mariposa_Flor 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Well Im one woman. My opinion is that there’s millions of women exactly like me looks and personality wise. Individual preferences are what set people apart, but there’s not really anything that sets me apart. I’m not in a position in life to contribute to a relationship. But to each their own, no judging.
