Uh, yeah, we do. Many of us fear rejection. Those of us who are lucky and determined will work past the fear to accomplish the goals that are important to us.
Look at it this way: which is more impressive, somebody who has never known fear or somebody who has felt the fear and did the job anyways?

Agreed. Every guy fears rejection, but a man chooses to overcome that fear and do the approach anyway. He realizes that feeling regret is worse than being rejected.
I think OP is right in saying that men are programmed to pursue women from birth - this has to do with the simple fact that we are male and we have a very distinct masculine sexual drive. But saying that we don't fear rejection is simply not true.

Women fear rejection way more than men.
Why do the number of male pick up artists out number woman PUA's?

I don't know that they fear rejection more than us. Women rarely have to face rejection because they are not the ones doing the approaching. That's a man's job. However, I do believe women are not as well equipped as men to handle rejection.
It's a man's job to initiate the interaction, and build attraction. You don't see pickup seminars for women. Women are passive when it comes to dating. They are not going to approach you. Of course, once some attraction is sparked, you let women pursue you, but just sitting back and expecting women to come to you doesn't work unless you look like Brad Pitt.

That sounds an awful lot like social pressure.
It's not a man's job to approach women.
Approaching women is supposed to be fun.

It is fun. When I am saying it's a man's job to approach, I am talking about innate feminine and masculine roles.

I agree about expecting women to approach doesn't work.
This is because of woman's fear of rejection.

Why don't you offer a theory as to why you believe women fear rejection more than guys?

Excellent idea,
I will write down my thesis on why women fear rejection more than men.
I'll be back later.
Where did this fear of rejection come from?
The fear of rejection for a man is learned behavior based on past experiences.
Pick up has helped you with unlearning that fear of rejection.

Testosterone is good.
Testosterone enables a man to become a successful leader.
A man can more easily deal with emotional hardship because of testosterone.
Women have less testosterone are more likely to fear rejection.
