Ozark. I know it sounds crazy, but Jason Bateman's character is a stellar example of a good father in that series.

Last Man Standing. It doesn't glorify fatherhood. But it doesn't demean males either. It shows the good side/ importance of all people (fathers, mothers, daughters, in-laws, neighbours, colleagues) and it's funny.

Spencer Tracy in something like Father of the Bride. A lot of movie audiences saw something of their own father, real or ideal, in Tracy.

The French Spencer Tracy, Jean Gabin, in Rue des Prairies as a working class father whose daughter becomes the mistress of a rich older man. Here's a clip (no subtitles unfortunately) of him making himself disliked by his daughter by telling her that she's been bought. His confrontation with the man is really well done - I can only find a small clip of it where he cuts right through the man's ploy of drowning him in Bach to make him feel uneducated - listen mister, I haven't spent an hour in the bus and metro to get a solfege lesson from you.

Forget fictional movies. Real life is way more powerful. "Dream/Killer" on Netflix Is literally one of the best documentarys on a real life superhero of a father who singlehanded overturned his sons wrongful murder conviction after 10 years in prison, never giving up from day 1 taking on a whole justice system out of pure love for his son.

Star Trek DS9 has some phenomenal episodes about a father and his son. The whole background story of the Siskos is pretty amazing. Probably the best example is the episode from the 4th season called "The Visitor".
