I'm tired of people treating men getting abused as a joke. In movies, TV, news outlets, it's fucking everywhere. Nowadays, a man being abused is now one of the most common tropes in mainstream comedies but I guarantee you if the roles were reversed, it'd be considered disgusting and misogynistic. I remember seeing an article published by Buzzfeed titled, "Have you ever hit a boyfriend, because we have." And I'm worried this could lead to normalization where people will see a man being abused on the street and just treat it like a joke instead of treating it as a serious situation.
