Hi guys, a few months ago I posted about my interest in doing a 'men's day' docu series focusing on the pillar of 'role models'. My intent is to find 10 or so men and make a 10 or so minute long video introducing them to the world, their life, their passions, etc.

Each segment has its own narrative theme that I find through the interviews with the subjects, a sort of 'arc' for their life and what it means. I avoid the cliches like 'never give up' cuz I hate faux positivity or sickly sweet optimism, and instead try to show real men going through something real that isn't restrained by the sort of platitudes our culture has. I have found some really interesting subjects for the documentary, have completed the preliminary work for a lot of them and am already filming the interviews this week (with visually interesting supplemental footage to follow), but I'm at barely half way through the number of subjects I would like to have and am wondering if you guys might have any ideas on the kinds of men I could interview for this and the subjects they could talk about.

As of now, almost each subject is just a man between 20 and 40 who is pursuing some passion with the hopes of doing it professionally some day. So far I have a music composer, a skateboarder, amd a BMX bike rider, and two subjects who already broke into the career they want: a therapist and a toy designer.

All of these men have made this their focus for career (even if they aren't making money off of it yet), but I'd enjoy to include men who have a hobby they love that they aren't trying to escalate to a career, who aren't 'chasing a dream'.

Do you guys have any recommendations for that, or even just other career driven ideas I can scope out for? So far I found most of the people through a craigslist ad, so its been a lot of performers of different types applying, but I found the skateboarder by going to a skate park and scoping one out in particular because I had a particular interest in featuring one. I could scope subjects out in other ways as well, I just don't know where to look because I don't know what kind of man to include.

Any suggestions? Also open to different angles outside of what I discussed, can't promise I'll take it especially if it's a very 'pointed' idea, but I won't do anything worse than respectfully declining. I am not interested in men talking about men's rights specifically for instance or just highlighting the struggles of divorce, alimony, or other issues men face.
