man... your mother is HORRIBLE! honestly she should be in jail.. how did society get fucked up like this. your dad and you were both heroes for saving eachother, and i hope you never have to deal with this again. the thought of how simple it was to get away from your mom by just telling a cop and not doing because of society's misandry is so aggregating. Good luck to you and i hope you and your dad recover from all of this.

I feel you man. My mother beat her own face into a dresser, filed a false police report on my father for it, then kidnapped my sister and I down to Florida when I was 5. Diagnosed paranoid schizophrenic off her meds at the time, mind you. She liked to get hammered and coked up before fighting my sister or threatening to kill me for having the audacity to look like my father. Even tried to a couple times. She liked to lie to me about what a horrible person my father was, but I saw on the few visits I got with him that she was lying. Dad blew his entire savings account plus some to get custody of me which didn't happen until a neighbor called social services on my mother when I was 10.5 years old. My dad had done that same thing to no avail and had spoken to the governors of both Iowa and Florida to try and get the situation resolved. The real bitch is I was put in foster care for ~4 months after being taken from my mother and almost adopted despite my father actively pursuing custody.

It's absolutely wild what men have to go through to get any semblance of custody and protection over their kids even if the mother is obviously a terrible choice. Not only did she not go to jail for any of this, when I turned 18 the state of Florida sent my dad a bill for $80,000 in back child support because she had been claiming me as a dependent despite having no custody over me. He didn't have to pay, but she didn't go to jail over that either. I hate her with every fiber of my being. You're not alone man, never forget that.
