This is a book published last year by Caroline Criado-Perez. (I haven't yet read it - looking to find a copy without paying for a feminist book.) It will certainly be one of the more solid instances of feminist propaganda to which we have to respond.
The author is a gender activist (naturally) with diverse background. She has some economics and technical experience, but her statistical credentials are not clear.
According to reviews (and even Amazon reviewers), she is a genius and her thesis - roughly, of women oppressed by society tailoring everything to the demon male - is correct.
Some reviews & interviews:
Has anyone here read the book?
Has it ever been subjected to a "masculist" critique? To a statistician's critique?
