It turns out if you bother to look at men and not just women in isolation, the data shows very little difference between genders.

In fact I think there was some evidence that men are effected more. Possibly because we've had decades of intervenion and body positivity for women, but not for men.

Which both helps women disproportionately and sends a message to men that they're outliers and "extra screwed up" if they suffer from these problems because men aren't acknowledged as being potential victims.
