I don't think gender dynamics can be so static. My boyfriend is much more intuitive, creative and empathetic than I am. I have a much more ruthless pragmatism.

I don't think it's bad to give people room to be a more complex individual (which was the goal of Feminism 1.0). But by the time we got to Feminism 3.0, it became a war on natural gender inclinations. Now women are encouraged to be masculine and men are encouraged to be feminine.

To me, Masculine means - aggression, competition and exerting dominance. (Not that women aren't like this, but that testosterone brings out these traits more). Women are naturally attracted to masculine traits, and masculine traits help men succeed in life.

I think the attempt of Feminism 3.0 to water down masculine qualities in males has done real damage to the men of our generation, because they are lagging behind their father's generation in so many ways. Their competition is stifled at a very young age, and they are taught to be passive (which is unnatural to them). They are told that their aggression is evil, so much of this aggression gets pent up and unleashed in ways that are problematic for society.

In the old days it was acceptable for men to be aggressive, and this aggression was channeled towards a productive outlet - rather than bottled up to turn into a massacre at a shopping mall.

Feminine traits are stereotypically being compassionate and nurturing. Obviously not all women are like this, but these are the qualities that make a good mother (so they are desirable in women). Feminism 3.0 encouraging women to be masculine has helped women be successful in academics and the career field. However, family life has taken a toll, since there are now less women qualified to be good mothers and wives.

So I think Feminism 3.0 has been destructive to society in general.

In my opinion, I think Feminism 1.0 and 2.0 were good enough. By the 90's, we should have focused on a gender movement that benefited everyone instead of the mess that was Feminism 3.0.

First of all I don't often post here but I think this is a great post. I think you should post it on /r/TheRedPill as well.

Having said that, I think the imbalance goes beyond threatening women. It threatens our very species. By threatening the feminine and thus the intuitive quality of human nature, feminism threatens to create a world of automatons.

In that sense our capacity to progress as a species is under threat, because without intuition we cannot have innovation. Without innovation we cannot have invention. Without invention there can be no progress.

This is a really fascinating idea! I think it's broadly true in my surrounding environment even though I work in a lab, which is pretty much a classically quantitative job. I occasionally have a feeling that a particular measurement is off or that the color of a solution is slightly wrong, and when I double-check it, I'll generally see there was a problem. Once I've made that intuitive connection and confirmed it, I can work backwards to identify the particular step that went wrong. My male coworkers use the same checklists and procedures I do, but their first impulse is to express their concerns in mathematical terms, and they usually see the error in the spreadsheet when looking at a whole series of numbers. Both ways get the job done.

Now that I think about it, all of the female trainees I know who did well (went on to a permanent position) were trained on crucial tasks by other women. Feminists would call this "mentorship" or blame sexism or something, but from my experience, it's because they were able to explain things in ways that "clicked" mentally fast enough to be a bonus on later evaluations. (Perhaps a similar phenomenon is why it's so important for elementary school boys to have male teachers!) Men are the majority--I think around 90% in the overall operation--and they gravitate towards the other guys with only one exception I can think of, but it's not quite as noticeable because of the percentages.

As LadyLumen said, gender dynamics can shift. It's not that women can't think in masculine ways, and there are outliers in any large population, but that it's not what the average woman generally defaults to.
