Longer than a week. The longer you wait, the better, because there's less of a chance of people immediately recognizing it as a repost. From time to time, I'll see a post which I am quite confident would get drastically different results if the genders were switched. And each time, I'll save the post, take a screenshot of the post text, as well as screen shots of the top comments and their scores. And after a few months have passed, I'll think about swapping the genders and posting again.
The people over there are so biased against men, but they hate that bias being pointed out, and are so delusional they think there is actually an anti-woman bias over there. If you repost too soon and people recognize it, the mods will immediately delete the post as trolling, rather than recognizing the issue and addressing it.
You would think mods would see such a drastic change in votes based on nothing but gender and actually try to address the issue. But nah, they'd rather than sweep it under the rug.
