Hi All, I’m new to this sub. I’m glad to see it’s well populated as I once thought I was more or less alone in thinking that men can be discriminated an marginalised in society. I’m not a woman hater - far from it but something just caught my attention: I was watching a TV dating show where a lady contestant said she would not go on a second date with a guy because he was under six foot. What would happen to a guy if he said he wouldn’t go on another date with a girl because she wasn’t a size 8? He’d be hated on to oblivion! This annoys me even more given that the percentage of the world’s population of men being over six foot isn’t even that high. I don’t know the exact number but it will be way below a third! Why should comments on men’s height be acceptable or deemed even funny at times where as comments on women’s size is not? I don’t agree with picking on anyone for their weight - what I’m advocating for is male’s being given the same respect to their height. Weight is something that people sometimes can have some control over to some extent whereas with height there is nothing you can do to change it!
