On the CEO thing ... no. Height contributes, but it's such a minor contributor to the effect that I think you're missing the forest for the trees.

Whenever someone files to create a corporation on day 1, they have to register at least one shareholder, at least one director, and at least one executive. This means that the founder is almost always the person in each of those three slots. He's one man, but he wears three hats.

I say he's one man, because men create a LOT more corporations than women do. Up here in Canada, there's 280% more male entrepreneurs than female entrepreneurs, and that's if you look at all sizes of organizations. If you just compare the larger corporations, medium to large businesses, that ratio is more like 13:1 rather than 3:1. The corporations women create are smaller, more service oriented, less scalable and less profitable, on average, compared to the corporations men create.

So, the single biggest reason there's more male CEOs and board members is that its vastly more men making those corporations in the first place. As the corporation grows, more of the ground level creators get brought into the executive suite or board room, and those are also overwhelmingly men. When it comes time for the really big corporations to hire for their board, and they want someone with experience in their industry, experience running a larger company, etc. there's simply a hell of a lot more men in that boat than there are women, as a result.
