A Florida woman responded to her husband’s request for a separation by shocking him with a stun gun, authorities said. She pulled out a Taser and stunned her husband several times at close range, rather than shooting him with barbed darts, investigators said. Charged w/ aggravated domestic battery.

If she really was scared for her life, she should have shot him with the cartridge. The civilian Taser model, the Taser Pulse, have longer barbs than police versions do so they can penetrate coats and jackets. Also, it activates for 30 seconds. The idea is that you're supposed to take out your attacker, drop the Taser, and run away. The company that makes Tasers will actually replace your Taser if its lost in this manner.

It looks like she just used the drive stun mode repeatedly (I guess she ignored the "Do not use for torture." warning in the user manual). I hope they throw the book at her, but I wouldn't count on it.

I find it funny women are always saying how they are afraid of rejecting men because they get violent and here we have day after day story after story of a woman getting dumped getting violent.

Maybe women project their violence for rejection on to men and expect the same violent reaction?
