I flaired this as progress. It isn't just the progress of the life expectancy gap narrowing . It's also the way it's been presented as good news. I remember when it was initially reported that the life expectancy gap in the U.S. had narrowed from 7 to 5 years. Some media ignored the fact that both genders life expectancy had increased and coached it as why didn't women get the same benefit as men. I was looking for that here and didn't see it.
