So genuine question. What if she actually made an honest mistake. Why did you automatically accuse her of trying to short you even after she incoherently tried to explain what happened? Did something else happen that made you believe she did it to get a free ride? She seems very drunk and could very well have tried to add another stop without realizing what she was doing. Add to that the darkness in the car on top of her state and I could totally see how this thing could have happened.
I personally don’t take Uber much but I know Lyft allowed people to add another stop while in ride(maybe that has since changed). She may not have been familiar with how that feature works with Uber and fucked up. I’ve also had situations where a ride got accidentally cancelled while the phone was in my pocket so it’s possible to do this kind of things without malice.
In all honesty this video makes you both come off bad. She could have made a mistake and instead of trying to straighten things out, you jumped the gun and automatically accused her of intentionally doing you wrong. That’s a bit cunty and would put anyone on the defense. Although telling her to get out after you made your judgment call is 100% your right and she should respect it, her response is actually understandable. It isn’t on the appropriate level to the situation but you’re dealing with drunk defensiveness. Those are extra pain in the ass.

Okay. Sorry for assuming this was your content. I completely agree that the hitting was uncalled for and the cop call was appropriate to prevent shit getting crazier. But(despite how the drive is presenting this and the subject of this sub) I don’t think this is a case of some drunk chick trying to take advantage of a guy then goes batshit crazy when he calls her out on it. In this situation the ride gets cancelled for whatever reason and the driver automatically assumes it’s because she’s trying to get a free ride then tells her to get out. Why was that his first assumption? There was no evidence of it. She DOES very drunkenly try to explain what happened but he’s having none of it and continues to be rude and double down on his accusation. I’m pretty confident in saying her retaliation was out of anger and frustration not guilt. This doesn’t let her off the hook for her actions but if this was an honest mistake on her part, her frustration with how he’s handling things initially is a very understandable one.
I mean think about it. How would you feel if you got into a car, accidentally cancelled the ride mid ride and the driver not only automatically accuses you of trying to rip him off but also becomes a dick when you try to explain what actually happened? How would you and most people react if the driver respond with “Yeah right, I know better, I know what you were doing”. I bet most people would get defensive at the accusation and his tone, try to explain what happened and think he’s a major dick. Now would most hit him? No. Some might, but most depending on their personalities, may cuss him out and retaliate in other ways. Now add people’s drunken personalities into the mix.
I know this sub likes to throw women under the bus for shitty behavior when it comes to unfair treatment toward men. And in majority posts I can see how it’s deserving. But this video? In this video both are assholes and the narrative the guy is pushing doesn’t fit what’s shown. I think this video is more about the “cancelled ride” representing the straw that finally broke the camel’s back on an already shitty day that he just had no more patience for, than evidence of her trying to short him on bread.
That’s my two cents. I know it won’t be a popular one, but I felt like potential nuanced should be voiced.
