The Dutch government said in 2013 that all large companies should reserve at least 30% of board seats for women, but did not set conditions for companies that did not meet the criteria.

That's great but eventually they'll take this further and begin penalizing companies who don't meet the requirements.

Currently, less than 10% of Dutch listed companies meet the target for both their executive and supervisory board, while only a third have enough female supervisory board members to meet the new requirement

Fantastic. Now they can promote unqualified women to the board so politicians can virtue signal about how awesome they are. Fuck the economy. Fuck your business. We need more wahmen!

I have an idea. If women are so great at running businesses but they're being "locked out" of positions of power, then why don't they start their own companies and directly compete with the companies they claim are discriminating against women?

But they don't do that because running a successful business is hard work. It's much easier to wait for others to build a company and then leech onto it after the company is successful.

(There are exceptions, of course, as many women have founded successful companies.)
