I'm no parent, but that is terrible parenting. She forced her ideals onto a young boy at a vulnerable time in his life. He will be scarred from years of torment and bullying. Teen boys are damn relentless when it comes to masculinity. He's probably lost his group of friends, and will be a loner at school.

She should be ashamed of herself. Men and women, girls and boys. We're all different, we're all equal.

This is terrible parenting but A+ feminist logic. Now when her son kills himself because of all the bullying about being forced to wear a dress to school, it won't be about make suicide rates but rather patriarchal gender norms. Feminism wins again!

Also, something about how this is something parents of serial killers frequently did to their kids. (Henry Lee Lucas immediately comes to mind...) and I think this is a repost from a while ago...
