I don't even understand how she could complain about what she claims he did. A drunk person who you don't work with sees you at a party and makes a rude comment. Who cares???

€20,000 in "damages" and "legal costs" to the defendant! When are these hussies going to learn that unlike in days gone by their "emotional" outbursts & actions NOW COME with consequences!

Okay, so the guy made an alcohol-influenced less-than-appropriate comment that didn't set well with her... for which he claimed to have immediately apologized afterward. But even the seriously "Pussy-Whipped" French Court agrees that there is a clear distinction between "inappropriate/uncomfortable" sexually-charged comments and outright Sexual HARASSMENT, which was at issue in this case.

Quoting the NYTimes article:

The court in Paris agreed with Mr. [Eric] Brion, ruling that Ms. Muller lacked a sufficient “factual basis” to accuse him of sexual harassment and that she had failed to show “caution” in her posts on Twitter, using the term “pig,” [in reference to her hashtag: "#BalanceTonPorc" ("ExposeYourPig")] tying [TV executive] Mr. Brion to [Hollywood film producer] Mr. [Harvey] Weinstein and exposing him to “social reprobation.”

I'm happy to see more and more rulings like this where the gloves are-- ever so SLOWLY, but definitely SURELY --being taken off and forcing women in this Modern Age to face the TRUE nature of the "equality" so many of them incessantly huff-&-puff about not having! - Equal "Rights" for Equal "Wrongs"

(Of course, she's going to "appeal" the decision -- criminals can NEVER admit to wrongdoing and turn coward whenever an accounting of their actions is due.)

She was accused of defamation by a man that she torched on Twitter by associating him with Weinstein. He won the case and approx 15k euros. She is planning to appeal, which puts a temporary stay on her financial penalty.
