I love kids, and get along with them very well. When one of my female friends complained about not having a babysitter, I volunteered. I'd just been over for dinner and a movie, her two kids and I had a blast, and I thought it was a pretty self-evident win-win situation.

Well, cue the awkward as fuck conversation about while they think I'm bright and engaging and get their kids participating, and that the love my positivity and creativity, they 'question' me around kids. After badgering them into coming out and saying what they suspected, with no results, I just got up and left.

I've never been back to their house. We've run into them a few times around town, and my wife and I are generally cold enough that it's a quick hi and bye.

While men definitely do face discrimination when it comes to jobs involving children, nothing in this article definitively pointed to that. Also when it comes to hiring someone to babysit your kids at you home I think you should get to use whatever judgement you want. You aren’t running a company, you’re finding someone to protect your kids, and you want someone your kids will adore. I (female) was once told that I was a great candidate to be a families nanny but that they would rather try to find someone who grew up with siblings. Weird and specific, but it’s their kids, you know? I feel bad for the single dad being sued, and I’m sure that the potential babysitter does feel discriminated against, but there isn’t enough said to say that that’s what happened.

I'm not going to defend this one and I don't think anyone else should either as it's too ambiguous. To help the case of MRAs when siding with somebody like this it needs to be pretty black and white where a person putting out the ad specifically says "women only" and so on.

I think male babysitters and teachers definitely do face discrimination but I think we also have to be very selective about who we choose to help. The last thing MRAs need is to accidentally end up defending a genuine paedophile because the feminists will have an absolute field day with it for years.

It's ridiculous but that's the kind of double standard they have when it comes to activism, anyone against them isn't allowed a single fuck up. Meanwhile they can defend female paedophiles and criminals even after they've been convicted.

This is how I get many feminists on the backfoot, while I don't 'tone police' or any crap like that I'm very, very specific in my language and often catch them out with their own bias as they can't help themselves and I think we need to be even more careful in regards to this. The retards in the comments page in this article for example are already labelling the guy a creep even though there's no evidence either way to show what's happening.

Of course Men face discrimination when it comes to babysitting. Even as a male, I only want a female to watch my kids. I know it is stupid, but it is what I prefer.
