UK: No Further Action For Man Falsely Accused Of Ventor 'Rape' (No Jail For False Accuser)

An Isle of Wight man accused of raping a woman in Ventnor last month will face no further action as it has been deemed the allegation made against him was falsified.

As previously reported by Island Echo, Police cordoned off a section of St Catherine’s Church graveyard on 18th June following an allegation made to Hampshire Constabulary that a woman had been raped in broad daylight.

A 35-year-old man from Sandown was arrested in a local restaurant in connection with the incident. He was subsequently bailed to return to Newport Police Station on 16th July.

Investigations carried out by detectives have revealed that the allegation was in fact false. The alleged rape did not take place. The 35-year-old man has since been informed that no further action will be taken against him in relation to this matter – a fact confirmed by Hampshire Constabulary today (Sunday).

The police in the UK did their jobs instead of #BelieveWomen?

Imagine my shock.

The woman who made the false allegation tells Island Echo that she is deeply sorry and has a lot of remorse for her actions. She is being supported at this time by appropriate agencies.

She gets a man put in jail and investigated by the police on a charge based on a lie, and she is SUPPORTED...by the appropriate agencies.

Whew. That patriarchy just can't stop oppressing women with all of that support and such.

It has been confirmed that the man and woman are known to one another.

Another surprise. Woman gets a wild hair up her ass about a man she knows and what is her recourse? She doesn't go after him with a golf club, she doesn't file a lawsuit, nothing that would require a direct, overt confrontation and/or resolution of their issue. Instead, she goes:

'Tee-hee! I'll just tell the police he raped me! Tee-hee! Because #BelieveWomen! Tee-hee!'
