[Legal rights] Has any men on here been denied a vasectomy based on age? Had a vasectomy and varicolectomy done 2 months ago.

Apparently doctors will normally refuse to do them unless you have children and are over 35, and have your wife's permission (I hear they may ask that she be present for the operation). I'm pretty sure this is because they don't want to get sued and it may have to do with their liability insurance. The same apparently applies to women who want to get their tubes tied.

I have been told that you can get this done at Planned Parenthood no questions asked, but I have never verified this.

It was over 10 years ago, I had to "shop around" a lot of doctors before someone agreed to do it for me, because I was in my early 20'ss and didn't have a wife to consent. For a while there I was worried I would have to go to singapore or some shit to get it done lol.
