And the online behaviour does seems to genuinely meet a reasonable definition of abuse or harassment. The wife of one of the accused repeatedly sent the accuser abusive messages. That's bang out of line and will also not help her husband's case.

There's currently a big problem with the way rape cases are investigated and tried, thanks to the weakening of the presumption of innocence and pressure on the police to increase conviction rates. There's also a problem with manipulative campaigners and public figures behaving badly, then foregrounding the inevitable minority of abusive replies they get to both excuse their bad behaviour and justify whatever hateful thing they originally said about men.

But this doesn't feel like it fits into either category of problem, at least on the basis of the information we have. Rape is a serious crime and allegations should be investigated. And the alleged victims should not he subject to harassment and victimisation.

My question is, could she even claim "gang rape" if it was supposedly just two people? Maybe I'm just confused but wouldn't that have to be done by more than 2 people?
