I am calling bullshit on this. Everyday makes me harder to believe anything anyone says on reddit. First, I've never come across a woman "owning" up shit. NEVER. If you've already put a man on dock what's in it for you to 'come clean' and face music from the police,family and people around you? Nah! Don't give me conscience and shit like that; I know people who have that and I know how they conduct themselves.

And why did you post this on /r/MensRights and not on /r/newzealand , where you might actually find people that are familiar with NZ laws and system?

Hi. Wow. Good on you for fronting up to the mess you've helped make of the guys life.

I'm a social worker that takes care of men in New Zealand. And I've heard lots of stories by men of being strung up like this.

To change things? I don't know. You could insist the police take a new statement from you and if they won't ask them about their complaint process.

Are you being supported by any support service currently, or did you receive some in light of your addiction? Ask them for help in confronting the issue.
