I've never had an easy time talking to woman. Surprise surprise.

It's more or less the physical confrontation that I have a hard time executing. Any conversations that take place indirectly such as texting, it seemingly goes well.

Example: The last relationship I [almost] had started off with just a quick chat in person, and then the rest developed through texts. We eventually started dating, but this all crashlanded six months in when she ghosted me for her ex.

I know the advice is to JUST DO IT. But how do I cope with the fact that any one I have been remotely interested in just seems to give me a disgusted look?

I'm probably doing it wrong, say, the "autistic" way.

i.e. Ordering a coffee at Starbucks, and try to make small talk with the barista, only to get short "don't talk to me" style answers.

Maybe it's my looks, but I'm most likely being self-conscious.

At this point, I just sound like I'm not trying hard enough, but I'm saying that I think I am, it just always gets me back in the same spot when things seem to work out.
