On the face of it, this is outrageous. I wonder what mitigating factors were present. Maybe the prosecution had a weak case, or maybe she has bipolar disorder and she was manic and hyper sexual. Juries might be sympathetic to that. Or backwards thinking Louisiana small town jurors might want to give the boys a high five and say no harm done. This makes me angry with the facts available.

I can be okay with no jail sentencing, even though she 100% should spend some time in there.

But a suspension of her teaching license, and not a full on revoking, is some bullshit. She's clearly a predator to her students, and giving her a light flick on the wrist like this isn't going to change anything when shes back in position

She'll never teach again which is something. This will also haunt her for the rest of her life. Jail time should be mandatory but sadly knowing that she'll never teach again (at least in a first world country) will have to suffice.
