While I'm glad to see this, Jonathan Macintosh, the maker of this video is one of those shit feminists who I'm sure in part two will make this about toxic masculinity or some other BS.

While I normally would say its about the message and not the messenger, Macintosh and Sarkisian don't get that right. Every time before they have either dismiss legitimate male concern, or take it on as a token argument to pretend they care about actual equality when they don't and just want to seem that way to dismiss criticisms and other actual issues in the Men's Rights campaign.

While its nice to draw attention to the issue within the feminist community, I would still be hesitant to trust it given the creator's history of lying and manipulating to serve his own political agenda.

Addendum: the more I watch this, the more I hate this video. He uses jokes like the night man song which aren't about rape but more about the denial of trauma or obliviousness to the subject matter. Talks all about demasculation, homophobia, and goes on to how a male rape demonstrates misogyny. Fuck This guy.

"It's because of patriarchy male victims don't get taken seriously!" I swear i've heard this before. It's the message of concern under the umbrella of "men are the reason for this". We are at fault for own problems basically, that's what it all boils down to when you ask a feminist what they think of male sexual assault and rape.

I was just reading an article claiming that toxic femininity isn't real because, apparently, women doing things like back-stabbing each other, lying during divorce to get sole custody of the kids, acting helpless, blaming bad behaviour on their period - all those behaviours by women are men's fault! Yes, women apparently only do those things because they've been traumatised by male brutality and violence in the past, or because they've acquired internalised misogyny from being around men too much.

I'm still amazed that feminists have such a low opinion of women, that they think women have no agency at all and are only puppets acting in response to cues from men. It's such a remarkable, 180 degree turnaround from 1970s feminism that said, "Women are powerful, women are equal to men".

Now feminism has flipped to saying, "Women are helpless and hopeless. Women need special benefits, privileges, lower standards and affirmative action in order to achieve anything at all. Women can't be held to the same standards as men; that would be sexist. Since women have no agency, they can't be expected to take action to achieve their goals. Instead you must allow women to be completely passive and still get whatever they want."

I've been aware of this feminist reversal for years, but I still can hardly believe it.
