I was (emphasis on the past tense) going out with this girl a met at church. It wasn't very long - maybe 8 dates over a period of a little more than a month. She was a bit wild, a bit unstable, but a very sweet girl (and unbelievably hot) that I had a lot of fun with and really developed feelings for.
She was more conservative than I was and wasn't super comfortable with getting sexual right away, which I respected. She had hardcore evangelical christianity hardwired into her brain. There were a couple times we got drunk together and she got a little handsy, but I never did anything because she was drunk.
She was awesome at flirting and talked a lot about how she loved being choked, her hair pulled, and talked dirty. Cool. So, eventually we decide to have sex. We'd both been drinking, but neither of us were drunk. To put it in perspective, she could have probably legally driven home. It was a lot of fun, and it got a little bit rough. She enjoyed it.
Long story, but eventually it comes out we were being intimate and she gets shamed at church. And so she falsely accuses me of rape. And I had left bruises on her arms, legs, and throat (again, she loved it rough), so I was also accused of abusing her.
And the best part? Everyone automatically sides with her. Absolute bullshit.
My lawyer told me that criminally, this is ridiculous, and it's highly unlikely anything serious will occur. Which is great. But it still leaves me out like $4K in legal fees I've spent and it's fucking me over socially.
This is why we need mens rights.
