If he's infertile then he would never have children other than adoptive or "emotional bond" type children, if she had never got pregnant would his life have been better? At least now maybe someone will hold his hand when he dies.

As far as infidelity, lots of marriages are open or they are swingers or something like that.

I agree that it's a total bum deal for him all the way around, I'm just trying to look at the bright side if there is one.

I think there is a pretty good chance they can reconcile, but I think he is the primary one who will or won't push the kids away, the kids didn't know anyone else as their father.

Put it this way.

If I found out my father wasn't my bio dad.

He would still be the only father I ever had, I would love him all the same.

My father's father left them when he was a baby.

And he didn't see him until he was 20-something.

Then showed up one day like "Hi, I am your daddy."

My father was like, "What daddy, who are you."

He didn't even go to his father's funeral.

He only spoke his bio dad's name to me once in his whole life, and it was more of a "spitting" like "I spit on his name" type.

So maybe biological dad is not the be-all-end-all, that's not your real dad, that's just some random guy that jizzed in your mom.

This is misleading. The couple were already divorced (and the settlement paid). He found out a few years later when he was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis and found out that he is infertile and couldn't have fathered children. He sued and won a 250,000 pound settlement from his ex.
