I don’t understand why domestic violence laws have to be gendered at all. Just have a victim and an abuser. Gender doesn’t have to enter into it.

You are correct but gynocentrism is deeply rooted in our society. They treat women as goddesses but don’t understand the fact that time has changed and mindset of women due to feminism.
