Rule 1

Never talk to your wife, girlfriend, or any woman for that matter, about your emotions. They are not there to deal with your emotions. That is your job.

Rule 2

If you must discuss something emotional, discuss it with a close male friend you can trust. Discuss it with a (male) therapist. Discuss it with a priest. Discuss it with your lawyer, but whatever you do, see Rule 1

Rule 3

Your problems are your problems. They are not to be shared. Find out what it is you need to do, and fucking do it.
