Today, back in March 2010, I wrote of how stuck I felt being a liberal who cared about boys (and young men). While the data clearly showed that boys were struggling in school, and in other ways, my political peers paid scant attention to this.

But the election of Donald Trump ended my optimism. I had voted for Hillary Clinton, even though I was concerned that her presidency would keep boys’ needs off the agenda. But I realize now that a Clinton presidency would likely have been much better for boys (and men), since I cannot imagine it having led to the outburst of women’s anger toward men (grown boys) that Trump’s presidency has, which has been dramatically intensified by the #MeToo movement, which started less than a year later.

Can't say I agree with his opinion that a Hillary presidency would've helped. He's just repeating talking points from Christina Sommers "War Against Boys", but regardless, it's good he's speaking up.

I'm not sure if it's the real her, but the comment by 'Karen Straughan' is pretty accurate:

"That boil was women's anger and resentment, stoked relentlessly by media narratives and misleading statistics around rape culture, patriarchy and violence against women.

I've been watching this stuff since 2010. The infection was all through academia, the press, politics, social work, education and the legal system, including the model penal code, (and more recently, tech and geek culture) long before Trump decided to run for office.

Women's studies has for decades been churning out indoctrinated activists who've been trained to view cis-straight white males as an oppressor class imbued with unearned privilege, and everyone else as oppressed by them, and who've been quietly populating all the institutions that are most effective for proselytizing that message. They sit on the editorial boards that allow people like Walters to spew bile at men, and Jody Allard to tell the American public that while her own sons are good boys, they're not "safe boys." Because rape.

Gay men, arguably the very people who secured LGBT rights at a time when it was they themselves who bore the greatest risk of beatings, death and arrest, were a few years ago dubbed the "patriarchal males" of the movement, and shunted to the bottom of the progressive stack. Transmen are accused by radical feminists of betraying the sisterhood of the oppressed and transitioning so they can get some of that sweet sweet male privilege, and transwomen are accused of being rapists in drag, infiltrating women's spaces so they can victimize them.

And perhaps worst of all, the feminists behind the scenes have been pushing for all kinds of "reforms" to social work, the law, primary thru secondary education, and social media "trust and safety" teams, that firmly entrench the "man bad, woman good" narrative in the minds of the public. Conversion of multiple industries is nearly complete, with major comic book labels writing preachy feminist storylines that are less subtle than the most smarmy episode of "Touched by an Angel", video game companies apologizing for female characters that appeal to their primary audience, and payment processors banning the accounts of people who take a dim view of feminists (among others).

Then along comes a presidential candidate with the gall required to tell an angry feminist at a town hall meeting demanding to know if under his presidency she'll be paid as much as a man, "If you do as good a job, yes." Who ran against a female establishment candidate who pulled the "sexism" and "misogyny" cards whenever convenient, and he didn't seem to give two sh*ts about it. Who, once he was elected, ordered the DOE to claw back Obama Admin Title IX overreaches.

I want you to really think about this. Do you think without Trump, any of this stuff would go away? Or do you think it would still be going on, often behind the scenes, emerging gradually enough that it wouldn't annoy anyone enough to actually put their foot down? I mean, before Trump, we had feminists swearing up and down that they don't hate men. We didn't have major national newspapers running columns that ask the (apparently rhetorical) question "Why CAN'T We Hate Men?"

Most people thought it was just a benign lump. Maybe a lipoma. They ignored it, because even if it was a bit sore at times, it didn't hurt enough to really pay attention to. It kept getting bigger, but it didn't change much from one day to the next and didn't get in the way of doing things.

Then Trump poked it, it broke open, and all the corruption and pus poured out. And yeah, it's a mess. But at least people are seeing it now for what it is."

& of course Mike has yet to reply. I wouldn't be surprised if he later decides to disable the comments.

Oh so women have seething resentment towards men, eh? Well me let you in on a little secret, there are plenty of men carrying the same animus towards women. They just don't get the non-stop press coverage that these cunty broads do.

That bullshit 'Clinton would be better' argument.

Hooooly shit. Yeah, it'd have been so much better keeping everything quiet and status quo, so we didn't piss off the women by getting uppity.

'What did you do to provoke the abuse?' indeed...
