I'm graduating soon and pretty sure I want to go work at a bar or club. I can't seem to stay out of them so I just want to make it what I do. I'll have a business degree with a background in marketing and accounting. I have some contacts from my favorite spots and also at this new really swanky high end place so I just need to narrow down my options.

I know it may take a while to get anywhere near the money but I'm cool with that. I've been promoted to management or senior roles in every job I've ever worked and any place I've ever worked I could walk up to and start working again on the spot. Just saying I've got a good idea of how to deliver value to a business and have no problem putting the work in.

Can anyone share some wisdom with me? I guess my top choice should be anywhere I can make bartender the quickest? I kind of want to work in 2 places but I would assume giving your all to 1 place will make quicker promotion. What else is there other than bartender or security? Management? Marketing? Starting out might suck but I can fill my schedule up with other part time gigs to supplement income. And also have very little college debt.

I'm located in the Midwest so I feel like I can get up in the ranks around here easily and build a resume and eventually move to a touristy place by the beach.
