Scientists generally don't bother arguing with creationists because they have better things to do. The argument that gender is a social construct is so absurd that it is not worth arguing with people who believe it.

Btw i would point out an interesting thing: the word gender is more used as synonym for the word sex mainly in the english language, in other languages the physical condition of being male or female use the world sex

is sesso, sexe, el sexo... and so on. So for me this is a proof of the gender argument is a deceptive or misleading argument. In a different languages that usng the word sex not gender, this type of debate would not be valid.
