Baseball and soccer are both team sports. If I were to write a paper exploring soccer hooliganism in the UK by interviewing American baseball fans, I would be justly ridiculed.

This is what this Mountford is doing.

Maybe some of us are new to the 'manosphere', a term I detest because it assumes a feminist view that men (more specifically, non- or anti- feminist men) are some homogeneous class, are unaware of the difference between MRAs and PUAs.

I don't want to go into the differences in depth, because I don't want to risk accidentally being snide.

However, there ARE big differences between the groups.

The MRM is concerned with the unequal treatment of men under law, a large part of which is dissecting and rebutting feminist talking points.

/r/TheRedPill is NOT /r/MensRights. There may be some overlap in membership between the two, sure, but there may be overlap between baseball and soccer fans.

Of course, Mountford wrote this to get his MA and good for him. I can't really fault him personally, because MA courses cost a lot and there would be no way in hell he would have passed if he had attempted a realistic look at the MRM.

This is just another example of the 'background radiation' that is feminist theory in the academy.

What would better represent Men's Rights Activism than the website of someone on record explicitly stating they are hostile to MRA? A satirical Feminism-as-PUA cargo cult subreddit , of course!
