If you have two injured people, one of which has lost their finger and the other has had a leg cut off, which one are you going to be more concerned about?
I'm not intending it to sound like mgm isn't a big deal, only that it really doesn't do the damage fgm does. Fgm takes almost all sexual sensation and causes lasting pain and damage, not to mention the fact that it's normally done at a much older age and without any pain killers or anesthetic. The amount of damage would be equal to having a male's head of the penis removed.
Again not saying it's not damaging just that it doesn't take away the same amount fgm does. A woman can feel almost nothing sexually without her clitoris and fgm kills more than it does men. I really really don't mean this to sound like I'm saying mgm isn't bad because it absolutely is all I mean is that fgm does do more long lasting damage for its survivors.
