Anxiety is excitement! This is something I've learned in the last few months, I've lived with anxiety for a long time but now I have a handy tool: When I feel anxious about something I just mentally tell myself that anxiety is excitement, I'm not anxious I'm excited to do this. The more I do it the easier it gets and not only do I get more done without the anxiety but I'm pumped to do it from the rush.

You could compare it to a drug trip especially meth from what I'm told, if you go into it with the right mindset you'll have an awesome trip, but if you go in expecting the worst or freak out part-ways in of course it won't end well.

Absolutely. I used to get a shit load of anxiety, now my body still reacts like it used to. Heart race and all that, but it's fun. When testosterone is increased and you believe deep down you're a man, you react differently to it. Now I look forward to the rush before fucking a girl for the first time.

That rush is addicting as hell and after I lost my virginity to my first girlfriend I told her I didn't get that feeling anymore, I think that honesty saved me from getting married and staying blue.

It's a good way to figure out why you're doing someone. If you get that rush then you know the sex is good and there's chemistry.

Meditate to learn how to truly focus, then focus on good stuff.

Remove all stimulants and depressants from your diet (no sugar, alcohol, drugs, caffeine).

Get checked by your doctor because your glands can be playing a role (think hyper/hypothyroidism and adrenal fatigue).

Meditate daily building up to 30 minutes.

Eat regular meals that are balanced in fat, carbs, and protein to keep blood sugar balanced.

Sleep 8 hours a night.

Seek out healthy relationships and build a good social support structure of good people who love and will listen to you. Make sure to be honest with them and yourself. Lift heavy weights and do intense cardio.

Take a good amino complex supplement(l-phenylalanine is broken down into ltyrosine thats again broken down for dopamine receptors,l-trypthophan is broken down into melatonin and serotonin) , vitamin B complex(b6 paired with l-tyrosine is excellent for depression) , and adrenal complex support (I like adrenal complex by professional complementary health formulas)

Homeopathics have always helped me but I had an excellent naturopath for diet and supplementation.

I think that counseling coupled with a program like Jordan B Peterson's Self Authoring Program (it's only $30 so just fucking do it) are both incredibly beneficial.

Really monitor your self talk. Talk to yourself like you would a close friend. It's ok to repeat things to yourself that are positive like, "I can do this, it's all doable, it's not life or death, I'm ok."

Emotional freedom technique is pretty kick ass if you know how to use it (check YouTube).

End relationships that are too dramatic or that are hard on you or your self-esteem.

Good sex with a girl or girls boosts my self esteem.

Find out if you're introverted or extroverted. Either way you may need more socialization than you're getting.

If you have a spirituality you should study it more in depth. Also read How to stop worrying and start living by Dale Carnegie. His how to win friends and influence people may help you socialize more if that's an issue.

Going to re-emphasize this. Cut out the booze drugs etc.

Do one thing everyday that scares/challenges you. You'll learn something each time and learn that you don't have anything to be scared about.

Make a list of everything you're putting off because you're anxious. Rank it Urgent important, important not urgent, not urgent not important, and urgent not important. Focus on the important stuff from most urgent and important to not urgent but important. If you can keep the fires put out and work on the not urgent but important tasks it'll help.

Avoid distraction and excess stimulation. Your phone is the devil as far as this is concerned.

Listen to Jordan Peterson's lectures on YouTube that address psychology.

Meditating, dieting, exercise, and reading. Limit TV, video games, and Internet.

Diet and exercise first. These are PINNACLE.

Honestly these 2 alone make a huge difference. Everything else is just a nice addition

Aside from the basics, healthy diet, quality sleep, lifting, and cardio. I find supplementation helps me a great deal. I use L-Theanine and Valerian Root to help reduce anxiety throughout the day and get me to sleep at night. What works for me is 50mg of theanine in every bottle of water I drink and 450mg of valerian root before bed. The dosage you use will depend on you.

Give /r/Anxiety a visit to learn more on the subject.

Go to a psychiatrist and get prescribed an antidepressant. Medicine is here to help us live a better life and you should use it. If possible, study a lot on herbal/OTC supplements and start taking some.

Do not get into or accept benzodiazepines as anxiety medication from a psychiatrist
