The mayor of Vancouver BC has declared June 12th Men's Health Awareness Day!

This was lobbied for by a small group called 'Heads Up, Guys"; a two man group, one of whom attempted suicide and has a very personal connection to the cause.

This is a small step in the right direction, but its also a huge action opportunity. What can you do?

  • Help with signal boosting their page.

  • Lobby your own elected officials to respond to this crisis by recognizing their own constituants and allowing them to come out of the shadows.

  • Help Heads Up, Guys financiall if possible; they are funded ONLY by donation and the provice does nothing to help (surprise surprise).

This is a small but significant step towards a society that values and protects ALL of its citizens without discrimination of those who need help.

David Cromer said it best "To the people out there whose despair is overwhelming ... If you are suffering, please, please call out. For those of us who are fortunate enough to not to be suffering so deeply, let's make sure that we answer them."
