I saw this picture in a Children's Place clothing store over the weekend and I couldn't help wondering what the reaction would be if the genders would be reversed in this scene. Somehow I don't think it would be tolerated.

I understand it just fine and, honestly, don't have a problem with it if we're all relating to it realistically.

However, the reason I post it here in this sub, and the reason it catches my eye is because as a society we are all, like it or not, going through this gender role upheaval, spearheaded by an agenda that has hijacked the term feminism as a means of justifying man-hate and invoking female-privilege. Many of us with healthy social, gender, and sexual attitudes are coming under fire and/or are being forced to re-evaluate the way we think, express ourselves, and interact with others because of the "feminist" agenda".

That being said, I feel it's only fair to look at both sides of an argument and flip things on their end. Part of that is taking something, such as this photo, which has an implied gender opposition and reverse it. If put into opposite roles it suddenly seems offensive, then I think it's (usually) fair to say that in its original for it's equally offensive but that that type of offense tends to get overlooked because it has sadly become status quo.

As a father of a son and daughter I feel obligated to make sure both of them get a fair shake.
