I have mixed feelings on this.

On the one hand, Damon's comments were entirely rational and reasonable. That's the real reason why misandrists are attacking him: he tried to inject facts and logic into a female hysteria which had, up until then, been entirely about emotion. His failure to emote at the same level as the women involved, including his failure to hate men as much as they do, was seen as betrayal and hence the bitter backlash. I don't like to see a man being shredded for being rational and sensible in the face of hysteria.

But on the other hand, Damon is an insufferable male feminist, so fuck him.
