Hi /r/MensRights!
I work for a private IT service company who's culture is to focus on employee's goals and our daily job is the means that allows us to accomplish them. I love my job and the company and have been here almost 2 years. The culture of being employee focused has been prevalent in every aspect. They are very progressive, from what I have experienced, when it comes to a lot of their policies and benefits. Generous PTO accrual rates, excellent health and retirement benefits, 2 days PTO for charitable work, reimbursement for gym membership that extends to your whole family. The list goes on and on. The one and only area I see a ton of room for improvement is our Paternity leave policy. We are only offered 3 days for paternity leave. In contrast, we offer 12 weeks full pay for maternity leave for anyone that's been here a year.
My company does a great job of listening to employee feedback and acting on it. I have already experienced many positive changes initiated by my peers in my short time here. I would love to be able to present a well researched argument to my manager and the regional director that resides in my office. I started doing some research last night but my wife recommended posting here too. Any help or pointers in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks and let me know if there are any more details you guys would like to know!

Women get more because it is the law and they physically go through child birth.
I'm looking for the benefits of paid paternity leave. Not to make an argument against what benefit women get inherently in the US.
