I recently found out Jian Ghomeshi was a male feminist. https://i.imgur.com/g9aa46a.png I was initially against him being destroyed by these accusers...

I have mixed feelings.

On the one hand, I'm always pleased to see a feminist hoisted with their own petard.

On the other hand, the expansion of what we could rightly call "false rape accusation culture" is a concern for all men. I'm glad that Ghomeshi won his case and provided another high-profile example to show that: yes, women do lie about rape sometimes. And they can even collude with other women and coordinate their lies, in order get revenge on a man for something as simple as spurning them romantically.

But under our current false rape accusation culture, lots of other innocent men who can't come up with such strong evidence, or don't have as much money to pay for a top-shelf legal defense, will be wrongly convicted and Ghomeshi's win alone isn't going to stop that. I note that the feminist government is already moving to change the laws so that the evidence which proved Ghomeshi's innocence would be inadmissible in a similar trial in the future. So legally his win is no progress at all.

Same thing happened in the UK in a high profile case:

Female fan had sex, including a threesome, with a famous soccer player and another guy.
She accused him of rape on the basis that she must have been incapacitated by drugs or alcohol, because "I would never agree to have a threesome if I was in command of my faculties. I don't do perverted stuff like that". [Not exact wording, but that was the gist of it].
That was the sole extent of her argument. She had no toxicology tests showing drugs or excessive alcohol in her system at the time, no rape kit, etc. She waited a while to claim rape, it seemed like the usual story of regret rape when she realised he wasn't going to have a relationship with her.
The defense found two guys that she'd willingly had a threesome with in the past, thereby discrediting her testimony. Result: not guilty.
Sexual history is usually inadmissable in rape cases, but defense can get an exemption to the rule for a specific event in history where it's directly relevant to the case, as it was here.
Feminist groups immediately started lobbying to close the "loophole", because we can't let courts find men not guilty of rape based on the mere fact of them being innocent, can we? And the very feminist Crown Prosecution Service is backing the call, so it looks like they'll get their way.
