And it used to be legal to treat black people as property in the U.S. their basic human rights were denied because "hey, that's the law".

So if you want to stake morality on "hey, that's the law", well guys could beat/rape their wives just cause that's what the law said 100-200 years ago.

No, it means laws are negotiable and subject to change based on values.

As per Indian law, that boy is not in legally marriageable age.

And what does this have to do with the price of fish? Just because they aren't able to marry does not mean a thing. Unless cohabitation between two people who can't marry is also illegal, or having sex between two people who can't marry is also illegal.
