It's really sad that this "never hit a woman" bullshit is so deeply ingrained into the minds of men and boys that they don't want to risk causing harm to a literal child rapist in self-defense. Honestly, she's a rapist; who the fuck cares if she gets hurt? She deserved it, and if it were a man no one would have any problem beating the fuck out of him

Not that a 13-year-old boy would have been able to fight off a grown woman, anyway, so I'm not saying he could have prevented it or that it was his fault for not fighting back. What I am saying is that the mentality of not fighting back as hard as you can specifically because you don't want to hurt your rapist, just because she's female, is unfortunate. With this in addition to her sentence, this pervert got off easily

To put this into context, Adam Johnson got 6 years (50% longer) for far less significant sexual activity with a 15 year old girl.

It's obviously a graver offence the further away from the age of consent the victim is, so this case is far more serious than Johnson's for multiple reasons, yet gets a 1/3 discount. Her messages on social media compound the offence further still, and had she been treated as a male footballer she'd have received at least 15 years.
