I am a university student in the United States and I want to write an op-ed in my campus newspaper in favor of due process. However, I am nervous about the potential attempts to undermine my academic career and campaigns to ruin my life.

I have written articles criticizing feminism in the campus newspaper, but they were about far tamer subjects, such as "Gender is a Social Construct." I received no public backlash from them, got mostly positive feedback, and even people who disagreed with them enjoyed the articles. The worst I got was someone selectively editing out arguments from an article. The chief editors of the campus newspaper took this seriously and changed the rules for editing to prevent similar incidents.

There are not a lot of feminist activists at my school and I don't know how friendly it is to Due Process. We also don't have a gender studies program due to lack of interest.

Do you have any advice? I want to write about this subject because I'm passionate about it, but I am unsure if the risk is wroth it. Do you have any tips for managing a backlash if it occurs? I think a lot of people on this sub may have gone through similar situations and I want some input before I proceed.
