Pardon my ranting, but I recently encountered a situation among my friend group that has me really angry.

It was a wedding anniversary party for a couple I know. A friend of mine attended with his spouse. While there he encountered a woman who's basically been hitting on him for the past three decades or so.

She proceeded to get blotto drunk and wouldn't take no for an answer. He retreated to "hide behind his wife" as a mutual friend put it. She still didn't take no for an answer. Eventually the host peeled her off him, and escorted her to another location on the property where the hostess was and the hostess proceeded to "have a counselling session."

I'm livid because my friend was sexually harrassed and assaulted. If it had been a man acting exactly the same way he'd have been physically restrained and the cops would have been called.

People fucking suck.
