Public Sex Couple gets sued, guess who paid more?

For the (American) English lesson:

Couple had sex on a glass boat in the middel [middle] of Hamburg.

Starting this sentence with "Couple" is informal but works fine while spoken. "A Couple" would be better when written.

Woman hit the Captain of the boat, as he came to stop them.

Again, fine when spoken, but when written start with "The". The comma in this sentence feels strange to me.

Man had to pay a fine of 2100 € (~2415 $), woman had to pay 500 € (~575 $).

This sentence should have a semicolon rather than a comma. Both sides are complete sentences, but are joined in thought which leads to using a semicolon over a period.

Please tell me, wheater [whether] I did spelling mistakes or grammatical mistakes, as I want to improve my english. [English]

Again, the first comma feels weird to me. The second one is fine.

Well: the government, the laws, and society treat women as barely above a child in their self-responsibility (yet, for some stupid reason, as fully adult when it comes to rights).

Proof positive that the West has gone insane.
