The authorities spent over $400,000 trying to identify her and rescue her. Think about that figure for a second, and then think about the fact she will probably be paroled in November because "mental health issue."
So why is it mentally ill people only commit crimes and not do good deeds as a sickness? Because it's an excuse to get out of jail.
