Not to be dick, but the cop didn't actually seem to try to deescalate the situation. She clearly didn't have a weapon on her and was either drunk or high, but instead of trying to calm her down he cleared the baton (about 30 seconds in), which just caused her to be more confrontational. I'm not sure if this is actually a case of A pussy pass being denied and more about a professional making all the wrong choices. I'm not a trained officer and maybe there was no non-violent solution, but his random swings (with both hands on the baton like it was a baseball bat) at her legs at around the minute mark seem like something a layperson would try after he saw it work in an action movie. I can't really believe that this is how cops are taught to bring down unarmed people.
